  • Most operational areas were divided into a soft (admin) and hard (military) zone.  Guess which one is which here?!

  • Wherever there is a double wire fence, anyone crossing the first is assumed to have malintent, and guards have permission to use lethal force to prevent them from entering the compound.
  • Entry to one of the ammunition 'dumps' - all entry is on foot (with the sole exception of the driver of a vehicle), individuals pass through the gatehouse (which is protected with bullet proof glass etc) submitting their pass and being issued with a temporary replica showing their status within the compound. The procedure reverses on the way out.
